Welcome to Write On Bookgroup!
I am an author by trade, reader by choice. For years, I’ve wanted to hear what other people have to say about my work before I send it off to the editor. Well, I never found an online bookgroup that really suited me, so necessity forced me to make my own. On this website, we’ll have discussions about books and writing in general, and maybe a few competitions.
To join, just subscribe to WordPress (don’t worry, there’s not a fee or anything) and come back to this website. If you have something to say, just leave a comment. If you want to become an admin, just ask. This website is, quite obviously, still under development, so I need as much help as I can get.
Here’s a bit more about the setup of this blog. There will be a weekly book to read, and a page open for discussion about that book. There will also be sections for each of the major genres (i.e. science fiction, fantasy, romance, et cetera) and sections for a few of my favorite books. If you have a book for recommendation, feel free to ask. Finally, there will be pages entitled “Subscribe” and “About,” which will direct you to WordPress so that you can sign up. “About” will tell you exactly what’s going on with this blog.
Finally, there will be posts for “Discussion,” and “Competitions.” Any competition that you participate in will sadly not have a prize, but you will get your username posted on the “Winners” page and the chance to become an admin. Discussion pages are purely for that: on-topic discussion. If you veer off topic, you will be reported.
Most importantly, there will be pages where you can post your work, and where you can talk about books and play forum games.
